Who we are

Cluie Pty Ltd (“Cluie”, “we”) operates this website. We are bound by the Australian Privacy Principles set out in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

What we collect

If you use the contact form we collect the name, email address, optional company name and message you provide. We also record the time of your enquiry, your browser’s user-agent string, the page that referred you, and a one-way cryptographic hash of your IP address.

We store a hash rather than the address itself. It lets us recognise repeated automated abuse without keeping a record of where you were when you wrote to us.

Why we collect it

To read your enquiry, reply to it, and keep a record of the conversation. We also use the technical details above to protect the form against automated abuse. We do not use your details for marketing, and we do not sell or share them with third parties for their own purposes.

Who else handles it

Our website and its supporting services run on infrastructure provided by Vercel Inc. and Neon Inc., and confirmation email is delivered by Resend. These providers process data on our instructions only. Some of that processing occurs outside Australia, including in the United States.

How long we keep it

Enquiries are kept only for as long as they are needed for the purpose they were collected, and are then destroyed or de-identified as required under Australian law, unless we are required to keep them longer or they form part of an ongoing commercial relationship.

How it is protected

Enquiries are transmitted over TLS and stored in an access-controlled database. The web application that receives your enquiry can write new records but cannot read existing ones, so a compromise of the website alone does not expose previous enquiries.

Access, correction and complaints

You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to privacy@cluie.com.au. If you are not satisfied with our response you may complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
